For the first time ever, we’re in a city that is home to multiple food co-ops. We’re excited to announce that we have FIVE local food co-op hosts for 2023: Eastside Food Co-op; Mississippi Market; Seward Community Co-op; Valley Natural Foods Cities and TCCP (Twin Cities Co-op Partners).
For the third year, the National Black Food and Justice Alliance (NBFJA) and Up & Coming will be co-hosting a Black-led Day for Black startup food co-op organizers, with all content programmed by NBFJA. “We value this space as one for Black people and Black-led co-op workers. Attendance is limited to Black participants only,” shares Dr. Jasmine Jackson, Co-Executive Director of the NBFJA. “This is a crucial move towards honoring safety while our co-ops grow and resist systems of racism.”
We are excited to host Up & Coming 2023 in St. Paul, MN. When your organization sponsors or exhibits at U&C, you have the opportunity to meet with hundreds of cooperators involved in creating a food co-op in their communities, create and increase awareness of your products and services and support the cooperative movement.
